The Y1 &2 Multi-Skills Tournament at JKHS!

Year 1&2 had a fantastic afternoon at John Kyrle High School, when they took part in the Multi Skills Tournament. Each activity was led by the JKHS sports leaders and the children enjoyed a fun afternoon of sports activities and games.

We’re Going On a Tree Hunt!

In our science lessons this term, we have been learning about plants and trees. we went on a tree hunt around the school grounds to find out what trees are growing at our school.

We found lots of different types of trees, including silver birch, rowan, sycamore, laurel, oak, horse chestnut; and a willow tree, which our class is named after!

We discovered that some trees keep their leaves all year round; these are called evergreen trees. Some trees lose their leaves in the autumn. These are called deciduous trees.

We were very lucky to have a visit from Savannah’s baby lambs last week! They were so cute and friendly! The children were able to stroke them and even feed them their bottles of milk!
