Personal Social Health and Economic Education. (PSHE)

PSHE (personal, social, health and economic) education is an opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes children need to manage their lives, now and in the future. At Lea Primary School children learn ways to stay healthy and safe through role play, decision making and controlled risk taking. In class we follow the Jigsaw scheme, but this is supported and enhanced through Forest Schools, visiting specialists, whole school adventures, residential trips and much more. PSHE prepares children for life and work.

Forest School aims to develop key skills such as self-esteem, independence, self discoveyr, teamwork, problem solving, enquiry and that learning is fun!  Also, through exploration at Forest school they will have the opportunity to develop their resilience, decision making and emotional intelligence.  Finally, Forest School gives them the chance to develop their nature connection and thinking how they can protect our amazing wild spaces.
