In Reception, we start teaching phonics at the beginning of the first full week. We follow the DfE validated synthetic phonics programme- Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised. We will be holding a phonics workshop for parents towards the end of September, where you will be able to find out more about how we teach phonics and reading at Lea, and how you can help your child with their learning at home.
