Academic Year 2024-2025 Photos:

Our academic year has started off brilliantly - all of our children returned and settled in quickly, alongside some of our lovely new faces! 😃 We started off with the topic 'All About Me', getting to know our new children and their families. During this topic, the children explored what makes them all special and unique.

We have also been looking at the changing seasons and how the environment around us transforms from Autumn into Winter. We use a daily board to discuss the day of the week, month, season and the current day's weather; the children are becoming so familiar with all of these elements! 🍂

We are looking forward to the transition into Winter, especially excited for the Christmas season!!! 🎅 🎄

We are very happy to announce that we will be welcoming a new member of staff to our team imminently. Her name is Laura, and she is Forest School trained, which will be extremely beneficial for our children! 😁👏

• In line with our current topic Growing & Life Cycles, we've had some new arrivals at Nursery, in the form of caterpillars! 🐛 Every day we have been discussing how they are transforming. We have watched them grow in size, produce spikes and now into chrysalises. We are so excited to see what they will look like once they have transformed into beautiful butterflies! 🦋

• In addition to our caterpillars, we've had some very exciting visitors at Nursery recently! The children have been fortunate enough to meet three very cute black lambs 🐑 and even had the opportunity to feed them their milk! 😍

• We would also like to say a HUGE thank you to Mr Darabant for providing and installing planters in our Nursery outdoor area. Mr and Mrs Darabant have also supplied us with lots of strawberry plants 🍓 which have now been planted into the planters. This will give all the children at Nursery such an amazing opportunity to help look after the plants by watering them and watching them grow. They will then be able to pick the fruit the plants produce and eat them for their snack - we cannot wait! 😋

• We have had a fun-filled Summer Term! In addition to Sports Day, we have had a variety of excellent sports sessions with Activate Sports Education twice a week, to incorporate tennis games into our Nursery curriculum. 🎾

• We have also attended our very bittersweet Nursery Graduation, to wish our Rising 5's a wonderful journey ahead with their transition to school. Well done for all of your amazing progress this year! We are so proud of you, and we will really miss you! 🎓

• We thoroughly enjoyed our end year Nursery Party, which was kindly funded entirely by our PTFA, who provided us with the opportunity to hire a bouncy castle and soft play for our children to enjoy!🎉 With the PTFA donation, our kind kitchen staff produced a delicious spread of wonderful party food for the children to devour! 😋 Thank you all so much!

We have had such a wonderful year with all of our children - we look forward to the exciting year ahead! Enjoy the summer holidays, and we will see most of you in September! 😃
